The Education Commission is a global initiative encouraging greater progress on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 – ensuring inclusive and quality education and promoting lifelong learning for all. The Commission is helping to create a pathway for reform and increased investment in education by mobilising strong evidence and analysis while engaging with world leaders, policymakers, and researchers.

The Foundation collaborates with the Education Commission to help mobilise a coordinated global campaign in response to COVID-19, calling for policymakers to protect funding for education globally. Among other things, this work involves uniting advocates behind a common message, encouraging countries to maintain or increase their education investments, securing support for global education financing mechanisms, and reinforcing intrinsic links between education and other major global priorities.
